Mike Monahan is a retired NYPD homicide detective who worked in the South Bronx for twenty years and is also a certified Scuba Dive Master. After retiring from the NYPD, Mike Monahan worked as a Private Investigator for several years. Then he was offered a chance to work in Bosnia as part of an International Police Task Force (IPTF). As a Captain in the IPTF, Mike worked as a liaison officer with the United Nations and the various army units assigned as part of a Multi-National Peace keeping force. After a year of seeing man’s inhumanity, and the mass graves from ethnic cleansing, he returned home to PI work. Several work-related injuries finally took their toll. So, Mike turned another page in his life and became an author.
