Bards and Sages Publishing
Positive Publishing Perspectives, a Division of Bards and Sages Publishing, provides a number of Services to independent authors and independent publishers. Bards and Sages Publishing was established in 2002 by Julie Dawson.
A Quick Summary of their services is as follows:
Basic Book Review Service: Free. Average turnaround time 30 days. Best for post-publication when time is not a factor.
Express Review Service: Fee quoted on inquiry: Guaranteed turnaround time 72 hours. This is best suited for pre-publication reviews if you need a review for a marketing kit or simply want to get some pre-publishing feedback.
Please read the guidelines to see what they will and won't review.
Press Release Service: Fee quoted on inquiry: Don't settle for a generic "(Insert name here) has published a new book called (insert name here) that is available at (insert link here)" dribble. Get a professionally written press release with a strong human interest angle to entice potential editors.
Proofreading Service: Fee quoted on inquiry: Proofreading provided by Faith Carroll (who is much better at it than me!). Faith has been working with Bards and Sages on our new journal and other projects and does exceptional, fast work. Low rates and high quality.
Publisher Marketing Kit: Fee quoted on inquiry: Includes book cover design, layout, formatting, PDF conversion, ebook creation, book blurb, press release service, and publishing support.
Book Excerpt Sharing: Free. Share book excerpts with our readers to expand your reach.
Print advertising: Fee quoted on inquiry. Advertising in the Bards and Sages Quarterly journal.
You can find a 4-page services guide for information on each service at the Bards and Sages Website. Please direct questions to the appropriate e-mail addresses noted in the guide so we can best serve you. For more information about Julie Dawson herself, you can check her Wikipedia entry.
We’ve used the services of Bards and Sages and find them reasonably priced and Julie Dawson is easy, and an absolute pleasure, to work with. We would gladly use her services again and recommend them to others.
